Lighting Capacitors
Comm-Chem Materials is the sales representative for ICAR S.P.A specialising in the supply of Metallised Polypropylene Capacitors for motor run and lighting applications.
The capacitors supplied by the ICAR /Comm-Chem team are designed and manufactured to meet international performance satandards according to the relevant international specification and carry full certification from international testing authrorities eg. VDE UL etc. for both P0 and P2 safety categories.
All capacitors comply with the EU directive for the restriction of hazardous substances "RoHS".
In addition the ICAR quality management system is regerested by IQNET the international certification network as fulfilling the requirements of ISO 9001:2000. They are also certified by BSI and CSQ.
As a forerunner ICAR started developing the metallised polypropylene capacitors in the early sixties. Moreover ICAR realised since the begining, the importance of developing its own film metallisation facilities, in order to have the control of the process from the base polyporpylene film onwards to the finished capacitor.
Accordingly ICAR are able to design and build capacitors to customer's specification where no international performance specification is applicable.
